About the Teacher

Lisa Strum is an educator with twenty-four years of public and private school experience. Her background includes a B.S. degree cum laude in elementary education and reading, an M.S. cum laude in ESL and post graduate experience in various education areas including educational technology as well as literacy studies. She is dual certified as an elementary subject reading teacher in Massachusetts and holds permanent New York State certification as an elementary educator.

Ms. Strum serves as an educational consultant for an IBM partner software firm in New York and has taught in Winthrop, Massachusetts and Long Island, New York for the Great Neck and Elmont Public School districts. She has written feature articles for This Month Onstage Magazine and various regional New England newspapers.

Ms. Strum has also enjoyed avocational success acting and directing community theatre and is an avid crafter. Ms. Strum highlights her beading accomplishments on her personal website which she created at http://www.geocities.com/ladybeadegoode/
