THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR THE SELF-EMPLOYED- This is the nation's largest association of businesses with four or fewer employees. They offer more than 100 benefits including low cost group health insurance, travel rebates, and a toll-free hotline you can use for your business related questions. U.S. SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION- This web site offers extensive free information on such topics as starting your own business and financing a small business. The site address is http://www.sba.gov.
THE HOME DAYCARE COMPLETE RECORDKEEPING SYSTEM- This excellent resource book was written exclusively for home daycare providers. It is 130 pages and contains 24 reproducible forms for your recordkeeping. The book has easy to follow sample forms provided and offers a free income tax update service. Available for purchase through Amazon.com.
TAX SAVVY FOR SMALL BUSINESS- This book was reviewed recently in Money magazine as an easy-to-read book which was written by a tax attorney. The book covers many tax deductions, fringe benefits, and the pros and cons of incorporating your sole proprietorship. The author is Frederick W. Daily and it is published by Nolo Publications.
