We all dream about the way we’d like our life to be. If you’re reading this, there’s a good chance you dream of starting a business from home. Everyone has different reasons for doing this. Maybe you want to live in a nicer house, or drive the car of your dreams, maybe you just want to spend more time with your family or maybe you want to be written up in “Success” magazine.
Unfortunately, not everyone believes their dreams can be turned into a reality, but before they become a reality, you’ll need some goals. And if you don’t know what your goals are, you aren’t going to go far in the self-employed world. So right now, write out the goals you have for yourself and the home business you’d like to start. Do it before you read any more. Because what I have to say next is key to you making your dreams a reality.
Once you have your goals listed, read them over and over and be prepared for some weird things to happen. Weird things — such as your goals will start to become a reality. Bad news…it’s not an overnight-success story. If you really want to be a success and you want all those goals to come true, you need to be ready for the long haul.
That’s where my next piece of important advice comes in. Choose a home business of your dreams. What’s something you say to yourself on a regular basis, “Man, if only I got paid to do that.” If you ever catch yourself saying that, some major bells better should start going off inside you, because that is a home business just waiting to happen.
So often people do the home biz search all backward. They know they want to work at home, so they look for a biz to start. The first ad they read says “You can make a million bucks stuffing envelopes”, they figure this is a GREAT biz to start because look at all the money they can make.
What’s so sad is that most people think it’s crazy when they are told they can make money doing something enjoy. Yet they’ll believe an ad that says they can make money stuffing envelopes only because it’s printed in black and white. Never mind this has to be the most boring job I’ve ever heard of. It’s also a business I’ve never heard of anyone doing.
You are born with special talents and interests. Take the time (we are talking months here, if not longer) to rediscover these talents and interests. They are inside of you just waiting to be found. Once you find them and decide to put them to work, watch for fireworks!!
